Glasgow Kingston Bridge traffic at standstill as drivers break out into huge brawl | UK | News

Two drivers stopped traffic on a major bridge by throwing punches at each other in the middle of the road. Glasgow’s Kingston Bridge was brought to a standstill earlier today.

Footage shows the two coming to blows on the M8 at around 11.15am on the eastbound carriageway of the normally very busy motorway.

In one piece of footage, a white Porsche is seen blocking two of the lanes whilst the pair continue fighting in front of a massive HGV that proceeds to blow its horn at the pair to get them to move out of the way.

Furthermore, additional footage shows traffic resorting to the slip road in order to pass the incident slowly.

An eyewitness to the incident told Glasgow Live that the confrontation started after a dispute in slow-moving traffic involving a Ford Fiesta and a Porsche.

They said: « The Porsche was behind the Fiesta and they cut in front. The Porsche driver out of the car then the Fiesta driver got out of their car and then they were rolling about on the motorway.

« Everything came to a standstill. A van driver got out and broke them apart. The Fiesta driver jumped in their car and drove off. [SIC]. »

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: « For guidance, we received a report of two individuals fighting on the Kingston Bridge, around 11.10am. Officers attended, but there was no trace and there were no further reports. »
