Slack down as users struggle to send messages in black out | UK | News

Hundreds of users have reported that communications platform Slack suddenly stopped working.

Downdetector reported a huge spike in people reporting issues with the platform at 9:41pm.

People took to social media to air their frustrations.

One X user asked: « Is Slack down??? » While another said: « Waited until my work day was over to go down, thank you Slack. »

People took to Downdetector to try and find out when Slack might come back online as the company tries to address the issue.

In a statement on their website they said: « We’re investigating issues users are having with sending and loading messages, including threads. We’ll be back with an update as soon as we know more. »

They later added: « We’re still working to identify the root cause of the issue, however, this is isolated to workspaces with International Data Residency (IDR) enabled. Affected users on desktop and mobile may be experiencing additional issues with loading channels, huddles, canvases, and some workflows. »
