F1 LIVE: Toto Wolff meeting sparks frenzy, Red Bull slapped with £6m bill, Horner latest | F1 | Sport

Red Bull’s rampant 2023 success is set to cost them.

FIA regulations stipulate that entry fees for each F1 team are determined by their performance from the prior campaign.

Each team pays a base fee of just over £500,000, with an extra amount of just over £5,000 for each point added.

Red Bull racked up a staggering 860 points last season as Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez won all bar one Grand Prix between them.

In total, the team will have to pay £5.9million for their spot on the 2024 grid, while the next team down, Mercedes, will only pay £2.7m.

Last season’s 10th-placed team, Haas, will pay just under £600,000.
