Clarke is signed to DAZN which may prove to be a complication for the mandatory challenger, with Sky looking to stage the fight on their broadcast. Riley and Chamberlain would both be cleared to fight live on Sky, potentially leaving Clarke out.

Riley has dreams of being a world champion, something that influencer boxer Jake Paul also has ambitions of becoming. Riley used to train influencer KSI who has an outstanding beef with Paul. The English champion claims he’d happily fight Paul for a world title in the future.

« I always envisioned that fight with me as world champion, and him in the position where I can do a voluntary defence against him, » Riley said. « That is kind of how I see that fight happening. On the way up I don’t think that is really going to align with what I really want to do.

« When I get to that world level and win that world title, he has always said he wants to be a world champion. I’ll give him that opportunity to try it. »
