Eliminate odours in the kitchen quickly with a homemade ‘natural air fresher’

There is nothing worse than leftover smells from cooking lingering the next day, but you can easily banish odours from the kitchen.

Cooking can be fun, but certain foods such as fish, eggs, and cabbage can often leave unpleasant smells lingering for several hours or even the next day which can spread throughout the home.

Pure Wow, a popular cleaning channel on social media explained that white vinegar is the key to a fresh and clean-smelling kitchen, as it is one of the most effective ingredients for eliminating horrible scents.

In a video online, Pure Wow said: “Is something smelling fishy in your kitchen?  Here’s how to get rid of lingering smells after cooking fish.

“White vinegar absorbs odours. So after cooking,  leave a bowl of it on your countertop for a few hours, or even overnight for stubborn smells. »

Lemons are also a natural deodoriser and similar to white vinegar as they can naturally neutralise odours while also containing natural antibacterial properties such as citric acid.

Cinnamon and ginger can be used to freshen the air to help get rid of smells but is not essential to get rid of smells.

One of the easiest methods to prevent horrible food smells is to ventilate the kitchen while cooking by opening a window or turning the stove fan on but if you forget, this is a simple and cheap homemade concoction you can make to eliminate intense smells.
