O’Sullivan and the other headline acts take to the stage on Tuesday when the quarter-finals begin, though the Rocket was spotted looking around an empty venue while the anthem was played.
He was then interviewed alongside Brecel, though neither player would play that day. « It’s a great event, brilliant venue, » the Rocket said. « Obviously done a fantastic job so all the players are excited to get going.
« I love the Middle Eastern culture so it’s great to be here and enjoy your time away from the table, that’s always important and makes you enjoy the event much more. »
Brecel then added: « I’m just happy to be here as a world champion and I am really looking forward to it. »
