Newhaven LIVE: Migrants fighting for life after being ‘found in freezer lorry’ on ferry | UK | News

A number of people are fighting for life after being found inside a freezer at a UK ferry port. A Border Force incident is ongoing at Newhaven port in East Sussex, with police officers, helicopters and paramedics at the scene.

Witnesses say three body bags were taken from the back of a cross-Channel freezer lorry. The Home Office has confirmed that a number of peopel are critical, and no one has died. Several more are believed to be being treated by paramedics.

The lorry arrived at Newhaven port on a passenger ferry from Dieppe this morning (Friday) and is still being examined on board the ship.
