NHS blows huge sum on woke non-jobs that would pay for 1,500 more nurses | UK | News

The NHS People Plan was drawn up to show a sense of “belonging” for the 1.3 million health service staff.

NHS England chief executive, Amanda Pritchard, has said the workforce is now “more diverse today than at any point in its 75-year history, and that brings benefits for patients and taxpayers alike”.

Trumpeting the blueprint, she says the EDI charter chimes with the values on which the NHS was built – including dignity, respect, compassion, improving lives, working together for patients and commitment to quality.

Yet campaigners say woke nonsense still persists at all levels…to the immense frustration of those who just want to see a doctor quickly and simply.

The latest example emerged last week when it was revealed patients are being asked to choose from 159 religions,
12 genders and 10 sexual preferences before attending
a hospital outpatient appointment.

Before they could access care, people battling to get seen on time were asked if they were a Goddess, Satanist or Druid.

Questions are put when patients register with online service MyChart, which provides access to hospital appointment details, test results and medical records.

On the personal information section, gender identity options include gender fluid, non-binary, demiboy
and demigirl, as well as male and female.

Patients are also encouraged to select their sex assigned at birth, and their legal sex.

Dennis Reed, of over-60s campaign group Silver Voices, said: “We are a strong supporter of equal rights, but this is wokery to the Nth degree.

“Why on earth does the NHS need to know whether someone is a bisexual Methodist before an outpatient hospital appointment is made?”

Professor Karol Sikora said: “I’ve experienced one of these forms and it is total nonsense…12 genders?

“Male, female and other, with an option to then type, would work just fine.

“How on earth has this ideology spread so rapidly within the health service?”
